NYK Lines (Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha) has shown keen interest in establishing dedicated shipping lines to transport green ammonia from the Paradip-Gopalpur-Dhamra port-of-call to countries committed to the greening of this sector, particularly in Southeast Asia and Japan.
Sumitomo Corporation, a global Fortune 500 company, has also met with the delegation and expressed interest in creating tankage and storage facilities for the green hydrogen and green ammonia sector. They are considering Gopalpur as an ideal location, due to its proximity to the SEZ (Special Economic Zone).
